  • You are past the complete beginner stage and are a bit familiar with Unity and C# and want to see how to make a full game in Unity.   • You are an intermediate or advanced level developer interested in seeing how the best practices of the industry, such as design patterns, can be used and integrated in a seamless way to achieve amazing gameplay results.
  • You've been a Unity user for some years and you were always frustrated by the difficulty of putting together coherent and fun gameplay systems.

Fun Things We'll Make in This Course:

  • A projectile camera that follows your cannonball in slow-motion, keeping the player at the edge of their seat.
  • A trajectory line that predicts where the projectile will land: useful for an easy mode that removes much of the guesswork.
  • Moving ships that follow pre-defined paths with a spawner script that manages their numbers and the rate at which they're spawned.
  • Juiced-up cannon controller with smooth movements, sound and visual effects, and all the bells and whistles for juicy gameplay.

Requirements:

  • Unity 6 (Project files made in Unity 6.3) with a code editor like Visual Studio
  • Paid assets used in this course, not included in the source files, you can follow the course with your own models, sfx and vfx, but if you want the exact results that I show in the videos, these asset packs are required (affiliate links):

Week-End Challenge!
The first videos of this course were made as a week-end challenge. My question was: can I make a game in 2 days, with high coding standards, while taking multiple shortcuts, and still make something fun to play? You be the judge of that!
Overview of the Whole Game Dev pipeline
We'll edit particle systems, create animations from scratch, play sound effects, create complex and less complex systems, enhance the visuals with post-processing effects, a complete tour of what Unity and C# have to offer!
Gameplay is King!
A lot of gamedev projects fall apart because people dive too deep into the minutia and technicalities and get distracted from what's really important: gameplay. I teach you the complete opposite, everything we do serves gameplay in some shape or form, the player experience is our top priority at all times.
Beyond the Code
This course aims to teach the mindset of creating fast prototypes and small games in a short period of time. After taking it you should be able to replicate the experience to other projects and have a different outlook on game design and game dev in general.
